WHO WILL PROTECT US? While we protect them ...

The Executive Committee of the Association is extremely saddened by the recent death of our colleague Arnim Joseph who recently joined the service.  We extend condolences to Arnim’s bereaved family and batch mates   It is very unfortunate that this young officer and father of two (2) had to be taken from among us in this manner. The cold blooded execution of our colleague on the night of Wednesday 18th June 2008 near his home in St. Joseph would remain etched in the minds and hearts of almost every Prison Officer of the 2nd  Division and even some 1st Division Officers as it brought the toll of Prison Officers who have been murdered arising out of performing their duty to five (5).  Some of us will remember Mr. Junior Holder, Prison Supervisor whose body was found shot and burnt in a car at Chagaramas, Mr. Winston Sandy, Infirmary Officer who was gunned down in Morvant, Mr. Atwel Sandy, Prison Officer I who was gunned down in front his home at Laventille and Mr. Anselm Paul, Prison Officer II who was gunned down at his home in Laventille.
